What Do You Need Help Finding?

If you're having a hard time finding a tall clothing item or pair of shoes, please contact me and I will do my best to help you find it.

Case in Point

On Twitter I saw Tamu, a tall lady say she was having a hard time finding an affordable pair of sexy high heels in a size 12. I offered to help her find some shoes. After a brief correspondence, I found she wanted some very high heels in a nude color to match her skin tone. Immediately, I set out to help her since I also wear a size 12 shoe and realize sometimes it's just a huge pain to find great looking shoes without trying them on. I directed Tamu to our special women's shoe section as we already have a special page with nude colored shoe options. I added a few more choices for her and she found a pair she craved and placed her order.

Today on Twitter, she thanked me saying, "@tallclothingmal Thank you for helping me find my shoes. I love them!!!" and showed me the picture. Don't her legs look fabulous in those shoes?

Tall Fashion Models & Celebrities - I Could Care Less What They Are Wearing!

So you may be shocked at that title! Why? Because for the most part I could really care less what tall fashion models and tall celebrities are wearing! I know, this is a tall blog and I should be following them with a cult-like watch, but really I think it's a big waste of my time. Why? For the most part I believe the clothing they are wearing is unattainable for tall people and here is my reasoning.

• Most tall fashion models and tall celebrities have their clothing specially designed for their bodies. Yes, it fits them perfectly! But, on the rare occasion that the clothing is re-created for the general public, it is made into main stream sizes which means that suddenly the item is no longer made in tall sizes. There's rarely an instance I could possibly find the same items in my size in a store.
• On the off-chance I could find the item in the store, it is normally so expensive that my chances of buying it are slim to none. For example - what occasion would I ever wear an Oscar type gown? I'm a normal lady raising a family. I will never attend the Oscars or be invited to "The White House." So I will never, ever need a celebrity gown.
• Many tall celebrities and tall fashion models really aren't that tall! I am 6'1" in height, so if I'm trying to dress like a model who is 5'9" tall, their clothing really isn't going to fit me very well.
• The amount of frustration I would encounter trying to emulate the wardrobes of tall celebrities and tall models is not worth my time.

On the other hand, I enjoy looking at the latest trends and enjoy dressing stylish. But, this means that I have to tweak the styles to look good on my tall frame. It works much better for me to purchase timeless styles that are affordable and attainable. I can easily follow many of the trends by changing out my accessories.

As a result, Tall Clothing Mall and our blogs will not feature tall models and tall celebrities on a regular basis. I would much rather spotlight tall people doing extra-ordinary things that make the world a better place as well as tall clothing that we can afford and attain.

I'd love to hear your opinion on this matter. Also, if you know of a tall person that is making a difference in the world, I'd love to feature them here.

Can REM Sleep Make You Tall?

Mr. Tall spent last night in the hospital doing a sleep study. You know - where they hook dozens of probes up to you and then expect you to sleep deeply so they can monitor you. Right!
Anyway, he had a conversation with the tech guy about kids and how some of our kids sleep deeply, but others are light sleepers.
The sleep tech said that you need to get into a deep REM sleep stage in order to grow as that is when your body does all of its' growing. I found this interesting as I sleep so well that an earthquake couldn't wake me at times.
I must have done a ton of REM sleeping as a kid and during puberity. So I told Mr. Tall that from now on, he needs to wake me every hour so I don't have a chance to enter into REM sleep as I don't want to grow any taller at this point.

Introducing My Sweet Baby Girl

After a 3 year process, we have just adopted our baby girl from Taiwan. We enjoyed a wonderful trip and are now home. So, here's our sweetie - Lacey!Lacey is now the Princess of our home and has 4 doting brothers who can't get enough of her.

We couldn't be happier!

Did you Think I Disappeared?

I really didn't disappear on you, well maybe I did for a little while. I am in Taiwan where my husband and I have just adopted a baby girl. This has been a 3 year process and we are really excited to be bringing her home. Just thought I'd let you know our good news and will be back to posting in a few days!
